Welcome to our website.

This website was designed to provide visitors with all of the information they needed to know about events throughout the UK to celebrate the 200th anniversary of rail travel, including the year's main event, Railfest 2004 organised by the National Railway Museum, York.

Now two years later, it has developed into a major resource for anyone interested in rail travel, whether their specific interest is today's railways, holidays by rail, Eurostar, preserved railways or model railways.

Railfest 2004

Railfest 2004 was the largest celebration of rail travel Britain had seen for many years - if you had any interest in railways, York between 29th May and 6th June 2004 was the place to be.
